DJ/ Band/ Ceremony Musicians should be booked now:
Start a list of “Play & Do Not Play” songs for your DJ – keep them to 15-20 songs maximum. This gives your DJ the freedom to do what he does best… get your guests excited to dance! If going with a band, discuss song options and set lists with your band manager. If your band has any special requests or requirements for setup, be sure to discuss those with your Agave Representative before booking them.
Photographer should be booked now:
Consider scheduling an Engagement or Portrait Session at Agave Estates. Your Venue Rental includes one (1) complimentary portrait session at Agave with a photographer of your choosing (additional fees apply with our in-house photographer). Contact your Agave Representative to check availability and schedule your session(s).
Portrait Sessions at Agave (Photography Not Included)
- Access to the Agave property for up to 2 hours.
- Based on venue’s availability – may not be scheduled on the same day as an event
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays between 10 AM – 5 PM are typically available
- After-hours/ after-sunset portrait sessions are not available
- Getting Ready Suites available to change clothes (hair & makeup must be completed before arrival)
Set up your hotel room blocks:
Extend another courtesy to your out-of-town guests by blocking off hotel rooms for them in advance. The great part? This doesn’t cost you money! All you will need to do is contact the Sales Department for the hotel you are interested in and they will help you set up a Complimentary Room Block.
Check out our list of the closest and most convenient hotels on page 3, but feel free to explore other hotels too. If Katy isn’t your scene, and you’d rather create a more “Houston-centric” theme for your event weekend, consider hotels in the Energy Corridor or City Centre, about 20 minutes away from Agave.
